Drought Restrictions Lifted
Did you know that Governor Brown recently declared an end to the drought and rescinded two drought-related executive orders from 2014, including one that declared a drought state of emergency, excepting four counties in Central California? The Governor's action reinstates the ability for California Homeowners Associations to enforce their governing documents as it relates to an owner's decision to not water grass or other vegetation. Please adjust your irrigation so that your lawn and parkway strips are maintained in a good, thriving condition. Landscaping should be mowed regularly and free from weeds. Bare dirt and/or dead grass and plant material is prohibited and will be enforced per the governing documents. Applications to make changes to landscaping can be found on 4S Connect or by contacting Management.
Please note, permanent water restrictions will still prohibit wasteful practices as follows:
*Hosing off sidewalks, driveways and other hardscapes
*Washing vehicles with hoses not equipped with a shut-off nozzle
*Using non-recirculated water in a fountain or other decorative water feature
*Watering lawns in a manner that causes runoff, or within 48 hours after measurable precipitation
*Irrigating ornamental turf on public street medians
