Governor Schwarzenegger signed into law AB1020, which requires the retrofitting of anti-entrapment drain covers in every pool constructed prior to January 1, 2010. The pool closure during the week of July 26 is required by law, and may extend into the weekend of July 31 / August 1, depending on the approval of the DEH inspector.
